Introduction
Professor Chun-Jen Chen obtained a master’s degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of National Cheng Kung University in 2003 and a Philosophy Doctor degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of National Cheng Kung University in 2007. After receiving his degree, Professor Chen worked at the Instrument Technology Research Center of the National Applied Research Laboratories for six years (2008.1~2014.1). Professor Chen started teaching in the Department of Automation Engineering at National Formosa University in 2014. Professor Chen serve concurrently as the chair of the Department of Automation Engineering in 2022. Professor Chen’s expertise is in automatic optical inspection, machine vision, digital image processing, precision measurement, sensing and measurement. The subjects taught by Professor Chen include “Introduction to mechatronic systems”, “mechatronic system design”, “mechatronic system design experiments”, “advanced precision measurement”, “object-oriented programming”, and “digital image processing”.
